WCF News: The Master’s Reception at the Royal Mews

2nd July 2013

The Master’s Reception at the Royal Mews

The Master’s Reception was held at the Royal Mews on a perfect July evening, in the presence of Past Master Her Royal Highness Princess Anne. Liverymen and their guests were able to view the royal collection of historic carriages and coaches, including the Irish State Coach, in which the Queen travels to the State Opening of Parliament, and the dazzling Gold State Coach, built for George III in 1762, which has carried every monarch to their coronation since 1821. It was a great delight to be able to enjoy champagne and excellent company in such wonderful surroundings. Her Royal Highness spoke to all the Liverymen and guests, and spoke with knowledge and interest about the current issues in the farriery industry.
