The Installation of the new Master at the Vintners' Hall

The Court assembled with the Livery for Common Hall to witness the installation of the new Master, Simon Fleet, at Vintners' Hall.  The retiring Master, Sir Evelyn Webb-Carter, gave his Report, and presented the Clerk with gift to thank her for her excellent work and help throughout the year.  Simon Fleet was then installed as the new Master, and Liveryman Huw Dyer presented him with his tool for his year in Office, an exquisite Clinker Iron, beautifully crafted by Liveryman Les Armstrong. The new Master then addressed Common Hall.  After Common Hall the Court and Livery processed to St James Garlickhythe for the Installation Service, led by the Company Chaplin, the Reverend Canon Dr Flora Winfield, before assembling for the Court Dinner.
